Crane travel service will now provide a way to rent and buy crane travel and crane travel trailers, among other items, to rent out to businesses and individuals, and to hire crane operators.
The service was announced on Thursday, as part of the government’s economic stimulus package for the Gaza Strip, as well as its effort to attract foreign investment in the region.
The new crane travel rental and leasing service will help connect Gaza to the rest of the world by providing easy access to the international crane trade and providing affordable transportation for foreign companies and their employees.
The company, which will be based in Israel, will be able to offer the service to companies in both Gaza and the West Bank, as it has already done in the past, the Israeli company said.
The launch comes amid the continuing Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with Hamas launching rockets from the Gaza-based coastal enclave.
Over the past several months, Israeli authorities have stepped up restrictions on movement for Palestinians in the Strip, including restricting Palestinian-owned businesses to only open between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., as well limiting access to public places and bars.
The closures have contributed to a decrease in business, with many businesses closing their doors.
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, meanwhile, has called for more sanctions on Gaza, which has become a haven for Hamas fighters and militants.
