Flyers general manager Ron Hextall announced today that the team has waived forward Shayna Gostislavova and goaltender Brian Elliott.
Gostisyvova is an unrestricted free agent, while Elliott is a restricted free agent.
The Flyers also have waived forward Mike Richards and goaltender Stefan Noesen.
Gostislovova was acquired by the Flyers from the Toronto Maple Leafs on July 2 in exchange for a third-round pick and forward Brendan Leipsic.
She played three games for the Maple Leafs, posting a 2-2-2 record with a 3.17 goals-against average and .923 save percentage.
She then signed with the Boston Bruins on July 21 and appeared in three games with the club, posting one assist and two saves in five appearances.
She also appeared in five games for Pittsburgh Penguins on the AHL’s Pittsburgh Rivermen roster this season.
She had one goal and one assist in 12 NHL games with Pittsburgh this season, appearing in 21 games for Philadelphia last season, registering two goals and two assists in 22 contests.
She was originally drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the third round, 105th overall, in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
